Greetings to All,
The Holiday season is here. This time of year is one of my favorites. It is a time to reflect on what has happened over the past year, and to be thankful for the many blessings of life granted to us each and every day.
With the fall season comes change and we see that change in the leaves on the trees, the cool crisp air, and the return of the regular fall line up instead of re-runs. Change happens whether we want it or not, it is inevitable. That said, change also happens in the Chamber. |

You should be receiving your ballot for the election of new board members in the coming week. Please take time to vote and return your ballot to David at the Chamber office. Every vote counts and does make a difference.
Much work has been done this year, and much work still remains to be done. The parade committee is hard at work getting ready for the 22nd Annual Christmas Parade. A big thank you to Danny Miller and the committee for all your hard work on this endeavor. The Banquet is planned for December 6th at Boone Tavern. Please purchase your tickets early in order to ensure a seat. Thanks to our banquet planning committee for all their hard work with this annual event.
As you know, the Chamber and some City officials visited Paducah recently to look at some of the ways they make their city prosper, grow, and attract tourism. From that visit has come some great ideas, one of which is a monthly meeting with the city and all their department heads, representatives of the Chamber, Tourism, and Economic Development. We are in the process of implementing a similar networking meeting to what we witnessed in Paducah. Our purpose is to have an open discussion about what is happening here in Berea and Southern Madison county. Working together, we can accomplish a great deal. If you have any suggestions or topics to be discussed within the networking group, please send them to David. We will gladly bring issues, challenges and opportunities to the table for discussion.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
Sincerely, Greg Greg Powell President
