with representation from the Madison County School Board and the Richmond Chamber. Also in attendance was an impressive group of students from Madison County, Berea Independent and Model Lab Schools. One of the messages from the students was their desire to be involved in the civic life of our communities. We need to find ways to help them be involved.
The Legislative trip to Frankfort with Leadership Madison County and the Richmond Chamber was rescheduled from its February date to March 5 due to inclement weather.
Also coming up in March is the first of the Chamber’s New Member Orientation Sessions. On March 11 new members to the Chamber will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the services of the Chamber and some fellow members. We will be offering two sessions on that day; one at 11:00 a.m. and another at 5:30 p.m. to accommodate new members’ schedules. Members who are not “new” are also invited; everyone just needs to call the Chamber office to save a spot.
This just in… Lieutenant Governor Daniel Mongiardo will be speaking at a special Chamber luncheon on April 24. Tickets will be available soon at the Chamber office. They’ll go quickly once they are available. A special thanks to Chamber member Truman Fields for making this contact.
I hope you are having a great March!
Sincerely, Charlie Charles F. Hoffman President

Looking back at February:
The Valentines Dinner and Dance was good fun. Those in attendance had a great time dancing and eating. It was a great event for the community. Thank you to Linda VanWinkle and the Dance Committee for all their hard work. Thank you to our sponsors who helped make the event possible.
