Our 2007 Board of Directors had a very exciting and productive retreat, held again this year at the Artisan Center. Committees have been established, chairs are in place, and the plans are in the making. We have decided to separate our Ambassador and Membership into two separate committees. This will enable us to focus our Ambassadors on our current member’s events and new openings, and our Membership on an aggressive drive for new members and retention of our existing ones, working closely together. Our Membership Committee is planning another aggressive year of recruiting and all board members will actively be participating. Our plans to continue with plans and activities from the prior years and keep them moving forward were accepted. Our treasurer reported his pleasure with the financial status of the Chamber and encouraged us to proceed forward as we have been doing. We are all looking forward to our upcoming dance this Friday. It promises to be another fun evening for our members to relax and enjoy themselves. Hurry and get your tickets! The year is beginning to fill up fast and promises to be another great year to be a member of this forward moving engine. We would like to thank all the many sponsors of our events during the past year and encourage all of you to become sponsors in some way this year. Your sponsorship has led to the success we have achieved with our numerous events, and is greatly appreciated. Our business community’s success is directly linked to the quality of life we maintain in Berea, our individual and family lifestyles, and our future. The Chamber is committed in serving this business community in furthering that success. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” While some may look at Berea as only a small dot on the map, we know in our hearts just how large we are, after all, home is the most important place of all.
